Baja Designs 2019-2020 KTM 690 Enduro R / 690 SMC-R XL40 LED Headlight Kit (D/C)

The Baja Designs 2019-2020 KTM 690 Enduro R / 690 SMC-R XL40 LED Headlight Kit (D/C) is an all-new moto-specific LED headlight designed for trail riders, dual-sport enthusiasts, and desert riders who demand exceptional visibility after dark. Inspired by the flagship XL80, the XL40 delivers 5,224 lumens of usable illumination while drawing just 43.5 watts, making it an excellent lighting upgrade for motorcycles equipped with lower-output OEM stators.

Paired with Baja Designs' Trail Lens, the XL40 produces a balanced vertical and horizontal beam pattern that enhances near-field and peripheral visibility. The kit replaces the factory headlight and includes the Baja Designs Hi/Low Harness for true plug-and-play installation. Built with premium materials and backed by Baja Designs' 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee and Limited Lifetime Warranty, this kit is engineered for dependable performance in demanding riding conditions.

Features

• XL40 LED Light: High-output moto lighting.
• Trail Lens: Wide, balanced beam pattern.
• Hi/Low Harness: Included for plug-and-play installation.
• Low Power Draw: Compatible with OEM stators.
• Direct Replacement: Replaces factory headlight.

Lighting Performance

The XL40 produces 5,224 lumens on high beam and 1,435 lumens on low beam while drawing only 43.5 watts (3.4 amps at 12.8V). The Trail Lens redistributes center beam intensity to eliminate harsh hot spots while creating a smooth blend of vertical and horizontal illumination, improving visibility through rocky switchbacks, hill climbs, elevation changes, and tight technical turns.

Installation

This kit replaces the OEM headlight and includes the Baja Designs Hi/Low Harness (12-9016) for plug-and-play installation. All necessary mounting hardware is included for a straightforward installation.
